Sometimes the system will time-out and you will receive a message that reads "An unexpected error has occurred".
This does not mean that all of your data has been lost. All of the information that you have saved will still be available on the form in the IRS Data Exchange.
If this message occurs, please just close out of the form, re-open the form, use the "Application Pages" button to navigate to the page you left off on, and continue entering data.
If the data is no longer there or the message keeps occurring, please submit a ticket using the Help Center.
